Purpose
The aim of this agreement between a coach and client is to establish a safe and effective way of working, so that you, the client, gain the best outcomes. At Team Acuity, all our coaches abide by the Code of Ethics, as set out by the Association for Coaching.
Session Planning
You agree as the client to arrange the frequency and timing of your sessions with me as your coach and to arrange an appropriate venue/video conference suitable for coaching (quiet, undisturbed, and private).
Sessions will be undertaken via zoom (unless by arrangement) for 90-minute sessions. The number of sessions is 1 x 90-minute introductory session and 6 x 90-minute coaching sessions.
How We Will Work Together
I will work with you to manage your expectations and coaching outcomes. This includes, for example, goal setting, use of exercises and techniques in each session, level and style of challenge and action plans.
Both client and coach have the right to end the coaching relationship, if either party no longer thinks that they can work together, there is no need for any further coaching sessions, or there is recognition that coaching is not appropriate or IIW: ‘Is it Working’ scores are low.
Team Acuity operates an online feedback system IIW (Is It Working?) to collect data and comments, following each coaching session. This ensures the quality of the coaching is meeting your needs. As part of this coaching agreement you will agree to undertake the completion of your IIW feedback at the end of each session.
Postponing Coaching Sessions
Postponement of any session should be done as early as possible and directly with me your coach, with at least 2 working days’ notice.
Confidentiality
As the coach, I will maintain the confidentiality of our sessions unless there is a disclosure within the relationship which could place an organization, you or another individual at risk or harm (e.g. illegal activity, danger to self or others). This will be discussed with you.
Note Taking and Data Protection
As the coach, I agree to keep, store and dispose of appropriate and accurate records of our sessions, including electronic files and communications, in a manner that ensures confidentiality, security and privacy, and complies with all relevant laws and agreements that exist regarding data protection and privacy.
Conflict of Interest
To ensure confidentiality and avoid any conflict of interest, I will disclose any potential conflict (of either a commercial or personal nature) openly with you and agree to withdraw from the relationship if a conflict arises which cannot be managed effectively.
Supervision
As part of my coaching supervision, I will be asked to share feedback from our coaching sessions to review client development and quality assurance of the coaching. I will not be required to share your name, or anything confidential to the coaching relationship. Continuous professional development, and competence enhancement, is central to all coaches’ work to offer best practice for clients.
Complaints procedure
In event of disagreements, disputes, or conflict, you can report any incident to RTC Leadership & Coaching. Issues will be dealt with confidentially through separate discussion with coach and client. IIW (Is It Working) should pick up any problems.
